The Lion visits the Christmas Light Switch On!
Another busy afternoon for the Leominster Lion, as he put on some tinsel and headed out to the Christmas Light Switch On event in Corn Square on Saturday 26 November, accompanied by Edfrith the monk and a trusty band of puppeteers and stewards.
After visiting the square, interrupting the live performances, checking out the fairground rides and posing for photos, it was off across the Grange to get ready for a performance at the Priory.
It was the annual Nativity service, attended by lots of local school children and their families, and the Lion was booked in for a surprise guest appearance at the end of the ceremony. He waited in the porch until it was time to enter.
The Priory was packed, and everyone joined in to roar with the lion, before the service finished. The lion and the team wish everyone good cheer for this festive season.
