Meet our members: Forbury Chapel
The 13th Century Forbury Chapel is one of the three oldest buildings in Leominster, Herefordshire, and is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Grade II listed building. The building has many unique features and has served the local community for many different purposes over the last 800 years, including as a school, court, theatre, offices and as a dance school. Most recently it is used as a community hub offering meeting rooms and venue hire, activities and events, including regular community cafes, exercise classes, parties and monthly Greek Orthodox Church services. It is also home to the Leominster C of E Team Ministry Offices and a small Fairtrade and Tradecraft shop. Reception is run by volunteers and further heritage information can be viewed on the board outside, digital screen inside and online here: Forbury Chapel.
The Forbury Chapel is owned by the Leominster Church Institute and managed by a volunteer Management Group and Board of Trustees.
