Reimagining Corn Square
Corn Square has been at the heart of Leominster’s community life for centuries. Markets have been held in the square since the early 13th century, attracting visitors and enabling local people to trade.
Surrounded by beautiful and historically important buildings, Corn Square has long been a venue for town events and a popular meeting place for residents and visitors.
Conversations with residents, visitors and business owners have inspired and informed plans to invest in improvements to the appearance and function of Corn Square. Funding from the Leominster HSHAZ Scheme will help to improve the Square’s accessibility and infrastructure, making the most of its potential as a retail area, visitor attraction, and events venue for our local community.
Public consultation has allowed the ideas, opinions and concerns of residents, local businesses, community groups, and event organisers to shape the future development of this important town space, ensuring that it remains at the heart of Leominster life for future generations.
